I have a big slice, real big. When i'm teeing off on #1 even golfing 18 (my home town course is just 9 holes) i have a big slice the #7 goes down the left side of #1 it ends up in the fairway all the time it makes me mad! Just for the record i am left handed if that makes any difference. I have had a bunch of people try to tell me what i am doin wrong but nothing has helped.
alright. slicing is very common so dont worry there are a vast list of things that you can be doing wrong and all of them are very common, so it's not like your going to need to totally fix something in your swing. now for me when i had a slice i was holding on to the club and not swinging through to the ball. i also found that it helps to put a club down while your at the driving range to a target wether it a flag or a distance marker, that way you know that you are lined up. then once you are lined up just hit a few balls very very very relaxed and see what your problem is. you can then tweak your swing wether you are too close or far away from the ball or wether your club face is open at point of impact to the ball or you aren't swinging to your finish etc. i would start out with using an 8 iron for thi because you will get some distance off of it to feel comfortable to move on to the nex clubs and there is still plenty of loft on the club to get it going straight 7 irons could also be used to start.

It is my club face that is open at impact. One of my friends have been giving me pointers at what to do he said just role your hands over when coming down on the ball. I try that but i can't always role my hands.
if its starting well left then bananas back thats a swing path problem to begin with. Youre going "over the top" or your right shoulder is coming across directly to the left. first work on correcting that problem on the range then see if you get better results then work on the next thing after.
Try
#1. setup
spine tilt. with the Driver you need to have some spine tilt.the right shoulder and not your trunk or body should be lower then the left maybe 11/2 inches lower.
#2 Check to see at address in the corner of your eyes is your left shoulder hidden? Without moving your head at address you should see by the corner of your eye a little of your left shoulder. In other words both shoulders should be aligned straight down the target line.
If you have those steps down then work on the swing path.
simple swing thought.
When you try to skip rocks across a lake your right shoulder comes down the target line then back up to your left shoulder. Just try skipping the rock motion
If you have those steps down then work on the swing path.
If you are working on swing path first, you want your ball flight to be straight and everything to the right - pushes, fades, and slices (if you're a righty). That will be an indication that your swing path is correct. Once you get that pretty consistent, work on squaring up the face.
