would like some help on really short par 3's

tournament coming up. 3 holes that are 103 to 114 yards... seem easy but not...first one is down hill steeply to asmall green, second one is thru a narrow tree lined fairway small green , and third one is all over water...

question , how do i win closest to the hole!

how do you good golfers approach these holes mentally and from a golf shot perspective? thanks in advance...

first, you must know the distances of your clubs, accounting for elevation changes and wind, second, concentrate only on hitting the ball squarely, third, hope you get lucky. thats's it. by the way, i still have yet to win closest to the hole.

For me, I think the worst thing i can do is "try" to get it near to the pin. I judge the distance, select the club that is the most suitable. And one that i won't have to judge power on( won't have to use 50% with an 8 iron) so i can use a full swing, line the ball up to the flag( or account for wind etc.) and visualise myself hitting squarely on the back of the ball, not where i want to put it exactly. This is my routine for Par 3's and it has helped me a lot. They can be a lot trickier than they first look!

But as Mikey300 has said, i still have yet to win closest to the hole.

Devote a (couple of) range session(s) to these short shots. You may need them on other holes as well.

Don't use a tee on really short holes like this. A 3/4 gap wedge or punch PW can be used for more control.
