fixed my stance- was slouching down instead of having a good bend from the hips.
fixed my grip- my left hand was too weak.
fixed my grip pressure- I was giving it the death grip before.. THE cause of my slice!!!! and i am sure it is the case for most people as well.
changed my address position on my irons- before i kept the grip pointing towards my belly button. now I point the grip towards my left shoulder, then square the face to the ball. (hooding it i think its called)
also worked on maintaining spine angle, I was lifting up on the backswing.
the grip pressure was the best part of this lesson by far. My drives were INSANE at the range afterwards.
If you are getting blisters on your hands, you are gripping it too tightly, and probably slicing your driver.
Before, I would practice with 4 bandaids on my right hand or else I would have monster blisters, not to mention painful/sore hands. after my grip pressure change, I hit 350 balls at the range! no bandaids, no blisters, ready to do it again tomorrow. :)
That is a lot of balls.... Glad you got some stuff worked out...just make sure you go through the checklist and make sure you don't revert back to habit.

Thanks for reminding me about that one. I have been very inconsistent with my irons the past few weeks. This is one of the things I use to do but have gone away from. What you do by pointing the grip toward your shoulder is set up a constant radius. You make it easy to return the clubface back to the ball. Tell your teacher thanks from me.
no prob. that is almost exactly how he explained it to me, it also forces you to take the divot ahead of the ball, as that is where the lowest point of the arc would be.
