Vijay swing, recommended for beginners?

I recently saw Vijay Singh's swing vision video on youtube so I recently tried this stance for fun. However to my surprise I've been gaining some really nice yards, but I've been slicing that much harder. Is this stance known to cause slicing? Furthermore I really want to stay with this stance because I have some severe limitation on my backswing if I keep my hips still.

Vjay and other pros have a tremendous amount of flexibility that allows for the big shoulder turn that they were speaking of...work on that and you will be able to better emulate the swing...

I love his swing. Very rhythmical and a classic throwback to the swing of earlier eras. He uses a lot of hip action, as you can tell. He stated in Golf Magazine that he's gotten more power and consistency from being able to fire his hips. By doing this, he can swing as hard as he can and the ball never goes left. As you may already know, he is a classic fader of the ball. This is the one swing that I've tried to copy and I am unable to go left.
