help fix my fade..

every shot i take has a slight fade to it.. fade is to the right right? well it goes straight and always fades to the right slightly.. so.. if i aim at the flag, always lands to the right of the flag.. can anyone give any advice as to how i can fix this problem?

btw, first post.. hello!

check your stance and were your feet are aimed. also you might try closing the club face the slightest bit. i know that i used to do that also because my feet were not even.

should my feet be facing straight ahead? and be parallel?

do you mean close the club face on the ball? or through my swing?

Tiger plays a fade, so why not? Try turning your grip right a little, so the v's in your hands aim at your right shoulder.

Since your ball flight is going right & you want it to go more left, You can:

1) Move your right foot back in your stance. (for a right handed golfer)
2) Close your club face
3) Turn your hands to the right on the grip, this is a strong grip.

I would encourage you to follow Shadrunners advise. All good players either fade (ball goes right) or draw (ball goes left). Its about precentages. I would be happy to go into detail about it if you would like.

I personally play a fade. Its my natural shot. Just like yours. Also because my hero Jack Nicholas did.

A fade has worked pretty good for Tiger too.

One other interesting fact: Jack and Tiger both use a interlocking grip.

If your fade is just a few yards, learn to play it. If it's a big slice, that's a different story. A fade is ideal because you don't lose much distance at all (it's sometimes refered as a power fade), plus when it lands it doesn't roll much. So, what's this mean? It means that if your ball lands in the fairway, it's more likely to stay there and no roll through to the rough, and it's more likely to stick on the green for approach shots.

The straight shot is the most difficult shot to hit in golf. 99 percent of your shots will have some sort of curve to them.

I don't know what method or system of golf you use and practice but I can recommend something that will work on any style swing you happen to be trying to perfect. Check out this link and see what you think. It's a little pricey ....right around 100 bucks but that's about what a one hour lesson will cost...but with this thing you can be your own teacher...click

Sergio Garcia says that the most difficult shot is to hit it straight. Be thankful that is a slight fade. I would take a fade every time compared to a slice or a hook.

The greatest ballstriker in history, Ben Hogan, played a fade. If its truly a fade, and not a slice, you're really not losing any distance. Stay with it.

My question is, Why?

Why change this? If this is your natural ball flight, play for it. Can you say Jack?

Dont fix your fade, just make it a go to shot. If you are comfortable swinging like this but not liking the result why not learn to hit a draw and then you know you have a ball flight to turn to when you are uncomfortable or under pressure?

Well he's not "losing" it per say but yea 2 or 3 yards, resulting in 10 or more feet from a straight ball
