Weird, I don't feel that I'm on my heels when I swing, but I definitely look like I am compared to Grante Waite. I'll have to be more conscious of that when I'm working on my swing.

Deron, in the pic down the line you look like coming way inside out. Do you normally draw the ball or fight a hook?

Don't really fight a hook. I draw pretty much everything though, which is fine with me as I prefer that ball flight. I mean like anyone, I can snap hook one on occasion but it's rare. If anything when I'm swinging bad I'll hit some out to right field which is a result of coming to far from the inside and not getting my normal release.

I do think coming to much from the inside is my problems sometimes with hosel rockets. Seems like every year I go through a spell of nothing but hosel rockets just out of no where. Fought them for about a month this year until they finally started to subside.

Weight starting on your heels can make you fall onto your toes during the swing resulting in a hosel rocket.

Good point! So theoretically, lets say I've got my weight to far forward on my toes at address. Usually you'll fall back on your heels during the swing thus hitting the toe of the club? If we're using the "every acting gets an equal or opposite reaction" philosophy?

That may be my whole problem when things start going bad in my swing, because even when I'm swinging good and playing good, I still have a tendency to hit the heel end of the face with every club in the bag.

You pretty much hit it on the nose.

I guess time will tell. It'd be nice to think you fixed my whole swing in this thread! I'm not super worried about anything else in my swing but the hosel rockets and heel shots. If I could fix those to where I don't have a month or so bout with them every single year I'd be golden!

This has been a good thread for me to read. I tend to forget about weight distribution, and I think this is one of the ways I get off in my swing.

I have now gone from demo to purchase of the software and am awaiting the additional professional swings for aiding in analysis.

So with clear enough digital pictures, we can maybe do more of these threads...

I have the Leadbetter Interactive and would be happy to do some swings there as well.

I've got V1 Professional and cSwing. I used cSwing for these videos...inexpensive and simple to use.
