I agree that it's your club face. Your club face is the only thing that can cause a ball to hook or slice. The direction your ball takes off on is a result of your swing path/alignment, the direction your ball curves once it's in the air is a result of your clubface.
I would go with bjw's advice with caution. Everyone is different, but generally speaking in golf, the law that every action gets an equal or opposite reaction applies. So by opening your face up on the way back, everything else equal and you don't compensate for it somewhere else in the swing, your clubface will be closed more coming through.
The old pro that I went to a couple times told me that if you want to hook one, open the clubface on the way back. If you want to fade one, close your clubface on the way back. This is not how I hook/fade one, but it does however work.
