My foot is getting better after breaking it and I have (docs words)limited use of it now, other words baby it,and the weather is ok to do the range bit.Any tips that you know of that will help me warm up my swing without puting undo stress on the foot? Also I`ve tried some slow swings in the garage and find that I seem to have trouble with my lower body movement during the down swing, upper body takes control. Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you right or left handed and which foot did you break? Also what did the doctor say regarding physical activity (as much as you can stand, light as damage may still be done to the foot)...I broke my right foot almost three years ago, ankle and all ligaments shattered requiring three surgeries and one + year of rehab...it is about as good as it will get anymore and that isn't close to the old 100 percent...bottom line is I had to relearn golf from the bottom up literally as my base (feet and legs) are completely different in strength, reaction time and agility...good luck and I can share some things that I did that will help your swing with that bum foot...

I`m right handed.I broke my right foot, simple(docs view point) fracture at the ankle.Had bad strain of a ligament,up-down movement, that gave the most trouble.I have most trouble with weight shifts back and forward on the foot. The doc wants me to work it,but to not push it(no walking 18 holes). It is still mending, but needs to be used so the ligament doesn`t tighten up.My left foot seems to the one controling my swing now Any help and ideas would be welcomed, thanks.

Also my right ankle broken...what I did initally when I got back into playing was to set up with weight on my left side predominatley and swing...this gave shorter distances but better striking consistency as shifting weight was painful and slow, causing me to be late in my swing and top or hit fat...

Thanks I`ll give that a try,The weather just turned to snow, the range is out for now. Maybe next week will be better.I just don`t do good swinging in the garage,I need to hit the ball to get the right feel and see the results.
