Can't believe that was all one sentence. Nice novelette.

Well...I am about as frustrated as a person can be...took a week off, last two rounds 106 and 99...went to the range today and hit the first 10 balls just like I wanted to then-nothing...I was shanking and topping so badly I was afraid for the others on the hitting line...literally 90 percent of the bucket went like this, even when I started doing little half swings (who shanks a half swing!?!?!?)... I was paired with a guy who had been playing 5 months yesterday for 5 holes...he beat me soundly over that stretch by at least 5 strokes...HELP...
my guess is its in your head, your mind is the biggest tool and it can hurt you and help you, try to think of ONE positive swing thought you may of had in the past, go back to a good round you had, you probably are anxious, coming up on everything, just make sure to stay within yourself swinging, work your way back up to being the real player you are, watch some golf too, that can never hurt

How about an update?

Bigvivec, I am currently about 3 weeks into the EXACT experience you were writing about in December and January. It's incredibly depressing and very difficult to deal with. I've had two lessons and am currently just working on good contact with half swing wedges. I figure I'll do that until those feel easy and comfortable and then move on. The problem is I am going to Hawaii in 2 weeks, have tee times I made 2 months ago at Poipu and Prince and there's no way in **** that I will go play those courses in my current condition. I can't imagine playing at all to be honest, it would take forever. I was a 10.3 last year. Right now I cannot hit a full swing pw straight more than 75 yards. How is your battle going?
