Question Need a golf swing fix

Today I broke out the camcorder and taped myself hitting balls in my garage. Two things that stood out: With my irons, I have I believe too much of a forward press. I don't know if that is a problem, just an observation. The other thing, which I believe is a problem, is that I come up on my heel on my left foot (I'm RH) through impact, and I can see my upper body coming up. Any ideas on what causes this? It is something I will be working on to stop doing, but didn't know if there was something that might be the root of this.

well, the only reason I can think of as to why the left foot is comming up is that you have your weight on the back foot through impact. Your weight should be on your left foot when you are finished and somewhat in between during impact. Forward press is not much of a problem unless you find yourself hitting your 8 iron as high as a 6 iron.

Sorry, I'm not sure how to do that. I need to figure that out, it would be helpful.

Learn to relax through impact. Right now you're tensing up and trying to HIT. Learn not to brace, but to let go.

I also have the problem of not releasing properly. Thanks for the help. I think the taping of the swing is one of the best self checks.
