Somebody define a Great Drive Hit for me please!

I know straight and far and short stuff and fairways and roll and all that....

what i really mean is the shape of the drive: should the best hit drive take off like a line shot then soar high

or do the best hitters hit them high and far at the same time?

best hitters hit them high and far. When you hit the shots that start out low and then rise , you have way too much spin on the ball.

a great drive for me is a high, slight draw that flies about 300 yards and lands softly

because recently i have finally been advancing to full swing driver and am getting better distance on my previous type of high line drives and now real high shots going just as far! and i wondered if the real high shot was a mis hit or not...
