Recommendations for a good playing lesson DVD?

Are there any good DVDs out there where a teaching pro walks 18 holes with a student giving swing advice and shot strategies along the way?

Re: Recommendations for a good playing lesson DVD?

I haven’t seen anything on DVD, but I have caught a few episodes of “Playing with the Pros” on the Golf Channel. I saw one where Rocco Mediate goes out with a couple of regular joes and he gives them pointers. (One of clips has Rocco giving a guy a tip from the sand, he takes a swing and it goes in the cup….

It sounds like a great idea for a DVD. I would enjoy having a pro giving shot strategies on a hole as well as swing advice. So many of the DVD's you looking at a nice flat driving range while they demonstrate thier swing.

While not a "teaching video" in the way you are thinking I have been amazed at the results of the Golf Fluid videos that I have been watching.

Totally different than anything you have ever seen. They work on your subconscious and in bed some very important swing characteristics. They take some time and patience but are really cool. Check them out at golfluid dot com

I'm not sure that even exists. It would be great though. If you want to improve your game, I would recommend Wally Armstrong's DVD collection. If you're a beginner, he'll teach the fundamentals of a good golf swing. The videos looked like they were made in the 70's, but the swing concepts are the same. Also, Jim Furyk and Fred Funk created an awesome short game DVD. Both can be ordered through Amazon. Do they work? Yes. I started golf in April 2006. I'm now a 15 handicap and recently scored par on my local 9-hole executive course.

Although this video collection doesn't actually have a pro playing with a student it does have the pro from each course videoed, playing each hole as it was intended to be played to make par.
