I am basically just a weekend golfer, I golf once a week normally and only 9 holes... I've been shooting 41-45, as of late I've been hitting the ball just about anywhere but straight... I'll hit duck hooks to left, straight right, slices, you name it... if anyone sees anything that I'm doing wrong, PLEASE give me some advice! thanks!!
is it a good thing that no one has replied? does that mean my swing looks ok? maybe its just a problem in my hands not getting back to square... please give me some feedback guys, thanks!
I am not one for great video analysis but here is my two cents. You have a very wide stance which may make it harder for you to get good weight transfer. Your feet should be just a bit wider than you shoulders. It seems your swing is very flat. You bring the club inside very quickly which makes it difficult to hit iron shots with a descending blow or to get the club squared. What I mean by a flat swing is the angle of the circle or arc of your swing to a horizontal plane represented by the ground. Take the club, stand erect and stretch your arms straight out in front of you parallel to the ground. Now rotate your torso at the hips back and then forward. That is a completely flat swing. Your arms are traveling in a circle about your body that is parellel to the ground. If you bend over to address the ball for a golf swing and make that same turn, the circle is at an angle to the ground, more vertical. So you need in my opinion to make your swing more vertical in that respect than it is now.
Take a look at his link and click through all the sub-links on that page for a lot of information on setup and posture:
Setup and posture is a good place to start to build a good swing. You may want to Google "Flat golf Swing" to see if someone can explain the problems associated with it better than I can.

Ok, I'll start...looks like you're swinging one-plane Natural Golf style. That's ok if that's what you're trying to do but I'm not a big supporter of it, I prefer the traditional two-plane swing. Without getting too complicated and involved, just try a couple of things and see if it doesn't improve...get you hands closer to your body where they feel like they're under your chin. To do this the wrists have to cock at setup, you currently have no wrist cock. The only other thing for now is slow the swing down a little and (this is important) pause and set at the top. Don't try to kill it, just make good contact and let the club do the work. Try to arrive at impact in the same position as at setup. It will feel a little weird, like the hands are way too close, but trust it...keep the hands as inactive as possible and use the big muscles to swing the triangle. If it's as bad as you describe then you have nothing to lose by giving it a try, right? Let us know.
In the first video you are sliding off the ball and sliding back as you will see your head go right quite a bit then come back left. The problem is it is very hard to repeat the exact impact point when you slide causing erratic contact and face position.
In the second it looks as though you are taking the club too far inside and have a plane that is above where you started when drawing an imaginary line with the way the arms arm positioned on the backswing. You are reaching way out to the ball at address and you are keeping too much weight on the right side through impact and causing you to loose balance on the follow through. This could be a patch move because having such a flat swing plane can cause you to hook the ball but dropping the right side and keeping more weight there will enhance a hook from that position because your hands will over-rotate. I'm no pro but those are my observations.
focus on just keeping your left wrist flat at impact. this will square the club up and result in straighter shots. Your plane looks good, your timing is just off that results in shots that can go left, right or straight. You may lose distance if you firm up your left wrist but it will go much straighter. I promise.
get your feet closer together and hit it nice and easy...dont get discouraged by the thousands of swing thoughts everyone is throwing at you, try to keep it simple
What's good is that it seems like a lot of your problem is before the swing, which will help avoid having too many swing thoughts. I will echo what has been said about needing to narrow your stance and stand closer to the ball. If you let your right hand off the club when you take your stance, it should hardly move from where it was. Suffice it to say that if you are standing too far away from the ball, it will cause wild inconsistencies.
One thing I noticed is that you are not making a very complete turn on your backswing. This will generally lead to a slice, but may be "corrected" at times by your inside-out swing. Therefore, you may hit the ball straight, but only when the "perfect storm" happens where both are, in a sense, equally wrong. If you eliminate these two you will probably have much more consistency hitting it straight.
