Stack and Tilt Pros...Help!!
For S&T teaching pros out there, I have a question, I kinda' improvised a little bit on the S&T, because I don't have pros here that know it that well, I started experimenting by myself...
one day I started hooking and hooking it badly (I workout and I think my right arm is just so strong I cannot take away right hand action from my swing, especially when I'm already tired)
what I'm doing is, at set-up position, when I "stack" to my left, I bring my arms to my left thigh (butt of the club pointing to my left pocket, heel of the club staying in position but the toe moves to the right, making the club open, 45 degrees maybe) My left wrist is now pointing away from me instead of pointing to the target, making it seem like a strong grip but in relation to the club its neutral...or the "V" of my left hand is pointing to my left shoulder....sort of like a pitching or chipping position but my feet are not open...
The whole swing is the same...takeaway very inside slight tilting to the target at the top and inside out down swing...it kinda" cured my hooks and made it a draw (ball starting out to the right and going back to target) people were asking how am I able to be so accurate when I have an open face, I was also surprised when this happened, but when I looked at my set up everything was parallel to the target line knees, shoulders, waist...except for the club head.
Is this okay? It lengthened my yardage by almost 2 clubs I remember a par 3 hole when I usually hit a 5 wood to get on now I only hit a 4 iron to get to the middle of the green...
This is really causing me a lot of confusion but everytime I go back to it, I can hit it pure and long...adjustments still need to be made for the driver but not so much anymore...
Thanks so much guys!
