Grip drill or exercise?

After a second day in a row of time at the driving range and course, I have a blister forming on the middle base of my right thumb pad. I'm now aware that on my downswing I'm pinching the club with my right thumb; a pressure point if you will. I hit the irons straight but have a slight slice in my woods/driver and I suspect my release is not quite right. So the blister and the slice have me re-examining my grip. Are there any drills or exercises that will promote me not to pinch with my thumb and build striking accuracy at the same time? Thanks in advance.

Here are some good grip articles for you:

PGA.com :: Najar: Understanding how hand placement impacts club direction

Proper Golf Grip - How to Grip a Golf Club with Your Lead or Top Hand

Click through all the topics and the sublinks on the last page to get the full benefit. You blisters are probably from not gripping the club more in your fingers.
