Question Grip pressure

Alright.. how soft is too soft of a grip? I feel like my grip is not as soft as it should be. Perhaps it's a mental thing.. Anywho, I'm considering switching to an interlock grip instead of the overlap grip. I was out practicing in my back yard tonight and it seems as if I can keep it looser this way, for some odd reason. Opinions? Can your grip be too soft?

Re: Grip pressure

One funny thing that occured last time at the range. It was really humid and i was completely soaked in sweat. Well the Driver came out of my hand and was on it's way down the range when I snatched it out of mid air. Lol my reflexes are still good at my age. It's a good thing I was a good first baseman. I just snatched it with what used to be my glove hand.
Had to save a fishing ploe recently the same way when a big Catfish pulled my ploe out of the holder.

Re: Grip pressure

As long as you can still hold on to the club it is not too loose.

A few times a year I see this happen at my range...it is a double decker and since I like to be on the upper tier, something will catch my eye and indeed it is a club hurtling down the range...sorry about your incident Bobx460, but it is always good for a laugh

Re: Grip pressure

Only enough pressure to keep the club from flying out of your DRY hands, but not so much that a person cannot walk up to you and snatch it right out of your hands.

Put another way like you are holding onto a bird. Just enough to keep it from flying away but not hurt the poor thing.
