G2 Irons vs Macgregor M675 irons

I'm a 7 handicap and a decent long iron player. I'm looking to move from game improvement irons (G2s) to player improvement irons (M675s) .The 675s have a bit less bounce and a smaller sweet spot. I would think that the 675s might be better on thin fairway lies with less chance of blading the ball, but I'm not quite sure what to expect out of various cuts of the rough. Any insight would be appreciated.

Re: G2 Irons vs Macgregor M675 irons

If you feel like you are pretty good with your irons you should have no problem...I switched from oversize offset cavity backs with a wider sole to thinner, forged "player's" irons (mp 60s) and found them to be immediately benefical...my course is like concrete for 6 months out of the year with tight lies everywhere...these thinner soled clubs let me dig in and take a bite out of the turf...rough is fine after you get used to the clubs...IMO there is no downside and macgregor makes great clubs...
