I don't know what my problem is. With my driver and woods, and even long irons, i always hit it left, and then it proceeds to hook even further left. My father thinks it is because I am rolling my wrist over, and that I should try to keep my right wrist straight as long as possible through the follow through. Do you guys think that could be a big part of my problem? And what other suggestions do you have? If it would help, I can make a video of my swing for you to evaluate. Let me know! Thanks!
pausing it at impact, it looks as if you were hitting a ball, you coulf flip your hands pretty easily, maybe take a wider stance and stabalize your hands through impact...
haha yea, those are nice swings, if you could take that swing to the course you'd be in business, my guess is the same as sams, pausing it at impact, once you start doing this its hard to get through the ball without your head telling you anti-hook, i'd try to hit through the ball and not at the ball, that could be your problem, no ball there the swings great, ball there the swing changes, let the ball get in the way of the club
Thanks for all of the thoughts and ideas... keep 'em coming!

I should have time tomorrow to get a new video of me actually hitting a ball. You probably do have a very good point here, I'm sure my swing changes when there is a small white ball in front of me.

Hey,
Throw a video up on Youtube. It could be for a number of reasons.
1. coming too much from the inside
2. laying it off at the top of your swing
3. shallowing the club on the way down
4. strong grip
5. ball position
Pull hook could be a "drop kick". When your weight gets on your toes, you come a little steep on it as a result, and your club head is "laid off" --> too much inside your arm plane.
It's the grip. I know, a lefty could swing with right handed clubs while still swinging from the left and someone would say, "it's the grip". But this time it actually is. You've got a real weak left hand grip and a strong right hand grip. Your "V's" are going in opposite directions and your hands are not working together. To keep from hitting the ball with that wide open club face, that is resulting from the weak left grip, you're closing the face and swing to the inside at the very last second with that strong right hand.

Can you please tell me how to adjust the grip? I guess i don't really understand the 'weak' and 'strong' grip lingo and how to fix it. Thanks!
If the "V" formed between the thumb and index finger points to you left shoulder you have a week grip, and if it points to the right shoulder you have a strong grip. A week grip will cause the club face to open up at impact and a strong grip will cause it to close. Just think about the position the hands have to be in to cause the V's to point in any direction. To make the V point to the left shoulder you have to rotate the hand counter clockwise when you grip the club. If that same hand squares up at impact it will be more clockwise than at address and so will the club face, and just the opposite for a strong grip. V's pointing to the middle are called neutral. You want either a strong or neutral grip, and preferably a neutral grip. You also want both V's pointing in the same direction. Do a search for Ringer's video on the grip. It will explain how to grip the club. Also try to find a practice club with a preformed grip just to give you the feel of a proper grip. If you have a Walmart close by they should have a knock off of the Momentous (weighted club) and it has a preformed grip.
Flipping the hands, i had the same problem. It was cause by comming over the top and i used to start my swing by turning my shoulders. The right shoulder should come under the chin. I was turning my shoulders around
The only way to get the club head on the ball is to flip the hands... And well, you know what happens. I used to have my Driver and 3W comming backwards!
All sorted now "Touch Wood". I just worked on a nice balanced setup, making sure i moved my weight properly and tried to keep the tempo nice. Start off slow and work your way up!
