Re: Video Lesson - How To Hit The Driver

good tip! I'm a big follower of all your videos, i think i've watched all of your videos on youtube. I've got a sorta retarded question. please correct me if i'm wrong. from what I see, you've got a 2-plane swing? if so, that's the same swing I follow. so when you hit the driver vs a iron, is it the same swing? is the driver swing more of a one plane swing? That appears to be my problem. I swing my irons with the 2 plane and my drive with a semi one plane. I'm under the assumption that the drive swing is more horizontal and the iron swing is more vertical. i'm totally lost. sorry if i'm using the wrong terms, still green.

i just started playing golf about 8 months ago and i'm averaging 90-95 without the driver for a good 4 months. I just got my driver fitted and i'm starting to learn how to hit my driver but i'm so inconsistant like with many others. all and any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!

Re: Video Lesson - How To Hit The Driver

As I stated in the video.. the club may be different but the attitude you take to swing it should not be. Because you are further away from the ball and the club is longer, the swing will of course be flatter. But this should not be done on purpose. It's the RESULT and not an INTENTION.

As for one or two plane swing. It shouldn't change with any intention either. Swing how you swing. Don't change the attitude just because the club is different.

Re: Video Lesson - How To Hit The Driver

Thanks, another good video. I have been working hard on my driver setup and used your videos and others to cement the fundementals in my head. One big thing I found in working through my problems is having the shaft more vertical or even leaning back a bit rather than leaning forward. My shaft was always leaning a bit forward which can cause all kinds of problems. I had one of my best driving rounds in a while, well at least on the front nine, this past Friday. No ugly hitting down on the ball and popping it up as I ocassionally did before.

Re: Video Lesson - How To Hit The Driver

Hi thanks for making that video I've took some notes and gonna try this out, just in the process of looking for your other videos on youtube right now.

I don't think I have been tilting at all to the right so gonna work on that. Also is the tilting the same for when using the irons as well.

I do position my hands on the inside of my left thigh with the driver but is that the same for my irons also.

Thanks
