Ball is not at or very near the bottom of the swing. Could be due to ball position, posture, spine agle at set up, moving spine angle through the swing, etc. At least that's what I feel happens to me!

Because you chunk it......that's some expert advise...jk. Try standing further back or something to make the club shorter.

It is weird because from SW to 9 i hit the ball crisp 90% of the time. It's just my 8 -5 irons?

I struggle w/this a lot. I am trying the "one plane" swing where part of the execution is standing a little further from the ball. Sometimes I hit great shots but then the "feel" goes away and I may hit fat or thin. Then I move a little closer but try to maintain the "bend at the hips" and hit good shots but that too eventually goes away. Inconsistentcy is the only thing I do consistantly. Big reason I can't seem to form a "repeatable" swing.
