I'll be watching the Red Sox! But I agree with you...one of TGCs better programs.

Yes, I'm sorry, The Golf Channel is correct.

As many of the pros that have appeared on that program, he emphasized rhythm in the golf swing and distance in putting.

Re: Furyk on "Lessons from the Pros"

I saw an episode of "Playing Lessons with the Pro's" from a good while ago, featuring Jim Furyk. I wonder if it was a re-run...

I'm sure it was, this looked to be from late 2003 - early 2004.

That's probably the one I saw. I think he was using the Strata Tour Ace ball in the one I saw. I recall he stressed laying up to a yardage where he could hit a somewhat full shot with ample spin towards the end of the episode.

Yup, that's the one. It was interesting, but like stated above - he discussed rhythm and putting speed.

It's funny, I'm not a long ball hitter (just started playing this game a year ago). My 5i is my goto 150 club, and I can drive the ball 230 on a good drive. When I'm relaxed and my rhythm is good is when I have my best rounds. When I try to squeeze some extra yards out of my clubs is when it all goes wrong, tempo is way off, and I end up off balance things like that. I'd love to hit the ball further and eventually will, but now I just focus on keeping it straight - and it's amazing how much tempo has to do with that.
