I am about a 9 handicap with a swing speed right at 100. I am trying to find the perfect ball for my game any thoughts? Or, any favorites amongst yourselves?

Fore!
I'm right where you are, and that's the $64,000 question. I'm always trying new golf balls. I haven't purchased any, but I like the ProV1x, another good ball is the TaylorMade TP Black ($29.99 at Edwin Watts, down from $39.99). Non-premium balls I like the Callaway HX Hot. Callaway will be coming out with the HX Hot Bite Jan 15...the HX Hot with some bite on the greens. That will probably be my ball of choice if it does just that. The Maxfli Tour Fire is another good ball and is on sale at our local Dick's for $19.99 (down from $29.99). In cold weather I like the Callaway Big Bertha.
It's such a matter of personal choice. The problem is there are so amny choices to make! It would be nice if a golf magazine devoted most of an issue to ball selection based on ss, HI, time of year, ball flight, etc.
Top flite D2 distance is a fantastic ball and only a shade behind pro v 1 for performance on the greens. Some have said they like the feel version but I like the distance version and I've had tons of stopping bite on good bentgrass greens. I've been able to work the ball off irons as well and at a price almost 1/3 of pro v1's it is a great ball.

Good luck in your search...I'm still looking too.
Unless they have changed it the Big Bertha to me is like a rock and colf weather would seem to make it like a boulder.
Alot of people like this ball, but that's pushing it!
Try Callaway hx hot...stays pretty straight, is long (really long) and has good feel...
Not pushing it at all. It doesn't check as great as the pro v1 but it is close. I played a great course in Nashville with awesome bent grass greens and two of the guys in the foursome I'd never played with was asking how I made the ball hop and stop so well. I only had three d2 distances with me that day and lost two on one hole where I pulled two drives into a lake and lost the other one at the end of the first round. I went to my Callaway HX tours but after three holes with the ball not checking I went to my back up pro V1's and they were all checking up short and leaving longer putts. I said they were close not the same, but for the price difference I love the D2's and they seem to carry well also with irons and woods. They are also workable.
