Hi all,
Had a pro look at my swing last week as my game has really suffered with inconsistencies over the last few months.
I had developed a nasty hook or pull to the left. The pro told me that this all stemmed from my poor backswing and me losing connection with my right arm on my takeaway.
The solution was to roll my wrists just a little to point the clubhead up to the sky. I've also worked on cocking my wrist so the back of my right hand goes back to my forearm.
This appears to have made me swing the clubhead on a better plane.
I've found that when I shorten my backswing with this wrist cock I can cream the ball with good contact to the extent I actually hear the swish of the clubhead at the bottom of my arc.
Does all this sound familiar to anyone. Am i on the right track ??
