I wanted to see what other golfers think about this. I am a very consistent ball striker and really have no problem on the course with any particular club. Like most golfers, I will visit the range once in a while just to go through the bag and work on mechanics and impact. (NOT YARDAGE) The range I use is ultra modern, latest technology, with the exception of mats only, no grass. I have noticed that, just as on the course, my ball striking is good with the woods and crisp with the irons, with the exception of my Sand Wedge and Lob Wedge. Is this because of the BOUNCE and the inability for the wedge to get down and under the ball as it will on turf? When I hit those two wedges, I always hear and feel a "Thump" prior to impact, instead of the "Swoosh" on all the other irons. I'm sure this is the problem but wanted to see if others experience this.
