I have seen this on golf shows and discussions...sometimes it works for me and sometimes can force a push-slice ....curious if you guys learned to do this ....talking about fitting your initial move on downswing before impact into kind of an inside slot for power and accuracy hmmm:

Slotting it probably is a good thought process when practicing. You just need to be comfortable and believe in your swing on the course. You have to remember though, bringing the club back from the inside can be just as bad as back and through if you don't have the timing at impact. All you have to do is slide forward just a touch and the face is open at impact or not swing around to close the face at impact. There are many body movements that go together to create the good ball flight. Practice and confidence is really the only sure way to get them provided you have the right fundementals of the swing.
If you take a correct and connected backswing, you won't have to think about slotting it or anything on your downswing except feeling your weight shift and turning through the shot. Try this: At address, assuming you're a righty, make sure your upper left arm is connected to your outer left pec (chest) and then turn your body back and through feeling this connection stay together. Your swing will feel shorter and tighter so start with a short iron and make 3/4 swings. When you get your arms and body swinging together correctly you will feel effortless power. Let me know if that works.
