Are there tips on how to increase swing speed and or club distance?
I tried widening the stance but feel more off balanced doing that. I also try to deloft the club by setting it farter back in the stance to get more distance.
Are there set ups, drills, exercises or training aids to improve distance and or swing speed?
My swing speed (comfortable) is about 93-96 mph. If I try to swing faster, I don't make good contact.

Training aids help. The Momentus "Power Hitter" driver and the weighted irons help. I use the Swing ASSIST which is funky looking shaft with a large weighted head (not for hitting balls) and also has a training grip. Really helps my swing and swing speed.

The harder you hit the ball the less control you have over your swing, try and concentrate on a good rythmn as opposed to blasting at it,with practice you will hit the ball further but under control.

There are no shortcuts in life. You need to work out in order to get stronger, and you also need to increase your flexibility to hit the ball farther. The exercises depend on your "weak points" and body type. You should look into core strengthening, shoulder strengthening, hip strengthening exercises to improve your distance. It will not be overnight gains and will take at least 3 - 4 weeks before you see significant gains.
Think balance, flexibility, and strength to improve your golf "strength" or swing speed. Medicine ball, stationary ball, and yourself is all that is needed.

I carry the ball at least 40 yards longer (across the bag) with a relatively effortless swing, than 5 years ago when I muscled my way through the swing. If your swing technique is poor, start work on that. Medicus might help you there (though this is not a first-hand endorsement of that product).

Read Davis Love,Jr & Bob Toski's book "How to Feel a Real Golf Swing" Also David Leadbetter's book "Faults and Fixes" is good. This will help you gain distance and better accuracy.

I would suggest you take a lesson, get your swing analyzed on video, and then read "The Plane Truth" by Jim Hardy. Reading his book after seeing what my swing looks like really opened my eyes to a lot of things. You would be amazed at the difference between what you think/feel you are doing to what you actual do during the swing. I picked up one full club on all my shots (i.e. where I used to hit 5 I now hit 6).

The best thing you can do to increase swing speed is to get a Swing Speed Radar unit. It's a doppler radar unit that measures your speed. After you get it, hit some balls with your normal swing, and then try everything you're ever heard of to increase speed. This will let you find out exactly what works and what doesn't. A loose grip, and a relaxed swing works for me, and I increased my sweed from 97 MPH to over 110. All in one day working on technigue, not pumping iron in the gym. I'm old (60), out of shape, 35 pounds over weight. and not real strong in my opinion. Certainly not any where near as strong as I was 30 years ago. If you try the Radar unit. I"d be surprised if you didn't increase your speed at least 5 or 10 MPH.

Here's an old baseball exercise. Take a 2.5 - 5 pound weight, an old broomstick cut to 12 to 18 inches long, and some string or rope long enough to hit the floor from shoulder height. Drill a hole in the broomstick, run the string or rope through and tie it off. Tie the wieght to the other end of the rope. Holding the stick at shoulder height in front of you, roll the weight up to the stick and then back down. Do this rolling your hands away from you as well as rolling them back towards you. This drill helps to increase forearm and hand strength, allowing you to a) grip the club more loosely with more control and b) get a powerful release through the ball. It also gives you the ability to hold off the club longer in the swing, creating more lag and allowing you to compress the ball more at impact, which is the best way to create more distance.

The Momentus Power Hitter is pretty good as far as heavy clubs go. Unlike something like the Speed Stik which is too long and has too big of a handle IMO, the Power Hitter is more similar to a club you would normally use.
Flexibility can help, but I don't think it's completely necessary. Both Sean Fister (a multiple Remax World Long Drive Champion) and JB Holmes (PGA Tour) don't make swings that get to parallel...but they have plenty of distance.
The Swing Speed Radar that OnePutt mentioned is a great device for measuring your swing speed at the range or at home. It's actually what I recommend in my swing speed training programs.
The comments about tension are correct too. Tension will absolutely kill your speed. It's okay to swing 'fast'...just be fluid and don't swing 'hard'.
Too much conscious swing thought will also slow you down. Swing with as few (or none at all) thoughts as possible for maximum speed...which is easier said than done.
If you are going to do the baseball exercise that TwillDog mentioned, make sure to do it fast. You want to make sure to build fast-twitch muscle fibers and not slow ones.
Hitting the ball far comes down to three things:
1) Using a swing method that can get you making solid ball contact. Missing the sweet spot by as little as 1/2 an inch can cause a loss of 20 yards on your drive.
2) Get your equipment custom fit for your swing. I've taken two similar looking drivers with different lofts, lengths, and weights and literally hit one 50 yards farther and just as accurately.
3) Increasing your 'usable' swing speed (it doesn't do any good to add speed if you hit it all over the planet). Each 1 mph of increase speed translates to about 2.5 yards more of distance.
