Re: ALMOST have my slice fixed

Here's something to try next time out to the range. Line up for your shot like normal, then if you're right handed, take one step back with your right leg only. If you swing from this position, it's virtually impossible to come from the outside of the ball. I use this all the time when I can't keep from slicing and it works every time. Don't be surprised if you hit a draw even.

Where is the flight of the ball at launch. Just remember the flight of the ball tells you pretty much what the corrections needed are. You possibly are just trying to swing to fast and your arms can't can't keep up with the turn of the lower body leaving the clubface open at impact. There are quite a few causes but the overall slice is caused by the face open to the swing plane. If the ball starts left and then slices you are coming out to in with open face. If it starts straight and slices your plane is good but the face is remaining open at impact which is probably not releasing the club at impact either from too firm a grip or staying on your right side and not releasing the right through the hitting area. If it starts right and slices you may be playing the ball too far back in the stance and makes it more difficult to release the right side.
