making an indoor practice

so where i live, it rains alot and whenever i want to go to the range almost 75% of the time its raining. especially since now spring is here. so i want to make an indoor practice range in my garage. so i was thinking about getting this net
Dick's Sporting Goods - Golf Shop: Training Aids: Practice Nets: Izzo Big Mouth Net with Patented Pop-Up Design
and the almost golf balls.

what do you guys think? and if its a nice day then i can set it up outside.

Looks nice to me. Definitely stick with the pop up design. Otherwise, the nets are a pain in the butt to set up and take down. Be careful too, I had a net and my brother (big kid, big hitter) ripped a couple holes in it with his driver.

Re: making an indoor practice

I just saw one at Sam's club that is a Rawlings that is pop up also, its for baseball, golf, etc. It measured 12 wide, 7 tall and 5 deep. It was only 39.95. I think I will get one next time after looking at prices.

Global Golf has the net you were looking at at Dick's for 79.99.
I thought about getting something like this but a lot of people think nets are detrimental.
Maybe others can chime in on this.

I used to jam my closet full of clothes (on hangers) and hit full wedge shots into it when I was a kid. The only time I ran into trouble is when I skulled one and put a hole in the sheet rock... other than that, the clothes stopped the golf balls which dropped harmlessly to the ground.

It will take all my willpower to resist trying this one out: Thank you!

I am sure my wife extends her 'appreciation' () also, in advance!
