Anybody try this for more lag ?

I was doing a little experimenting on the range today and was trying to get some major lag in my swing just for fun to see how far I could hit it what I would do is swing back like normal fire the hips on the downswing but instead of pushing my arms through hard instead I tried to swing back as long as I could while I was firing my hips, I was quite suprised how well this worked, you guys do anything similar to this ?

If I don't fire my arms, I hit crazy push fades. I rely too much on release and forearm rotation to slow my arms down.

yeah I noticed when I get my hips through my body tends to be open leaving the clubface open, I naturaally have a baby draw so I was hitting it noticeably straighter and could work a little fade in

Re: Anybody try this for more lag ?

If I understood you, you mean firing with the hips while the arms/back are still going back?

I have tried this myself, clubhead speed goes through the roof but I have no controll though

Max, check your sig. If I remember correctly, you started last September.

yeah looking at your sig it looks like you fight a slicing problem this would prolly not be very good for you to do considering it helps leave the face open
