Will a flat or upright lie help with my draw/hook?

I play a draw with my irons but it is turning into a hook. Will a flat or upright lie help me out at all on my iron shots?

Re: Will a flat or upright lie help with my draw/hook?

A flat or upright iron will respond in the same way as a side hill lie. If you irons are not fitted correctly, then having the lie changed would probably help somewhat. You mentioned that you hit the draw ; but, it recently turned into a hook. Since the clubs have not changed , you probably have.

Check your fundamentals: grip, alignment, stance and posture (GASP) at the range. The problem is more than likely there. Only make small positive corrections and observe your results.
Cheers

if all things stay the same (your swing) if you flatten your lie you will reduce your draw/ hook. In addition, you may want to use larger grips to slow down your release to reduce your draw hook more.

You could change your shafts to a stiffer tip to reduce the draw/ hook, as well.
