Get rid of the pull/slice: Trying to make a push?

Just curious, maybe the wrong way to learn yourself something.

But If I try to learn how to push the ball with a full shoulder turn, could this cure my pull?

I would have to learn how to come from the inside because or else I would not be able to push the ball, right?

Re: Get rid of the pull/slice: Trying to make a push?

Forget about this thread. It was like Ringer man said.

Just took a couple of practice swings outside.

If I a) Let my head turn(rotate not shift) in the backswing. and b) Keep it there during the downswing and let the right shoulder collect it the club comes from the inside and my finish comes very naturally.

You guys who have learned the golfswing quite good, for how long would say I should practice this sensation? When is it ingrained?

I have other issues as well but one at the time should be preferred?
I have a tendency to do everything at once and end up worse than I was at the beginning

It is when it is! It might take 5 dedicated practice sessions, and even after that you will have to make sure your old flaw doesn't creep back in.

On at a time is preferred. And it is preferred that you work on your biggest issue first. If you can afford a lesson once in a while your pro will tell you what that is.

Re: Get rid of the pull/slice: Trying to make a push?

It is by far the most important aspect.

And a pro, well I'm not so sure. I had a lesson with him about this subject.

The only thing he told me was to turn flatter and have a flatter swing. Didn`t to me any good, I just ended up losing my balance and still coming from the outside.

I don`t hold him high, the biggest changes in my game has been caused by me experimenting, not due to his advices.

He knows alot, but I don`t feel he is good enough to adapt his knowledge to the individual..

FWIW the best $5 to $10 bucks you can ever spend is Ben Hogan's 5 lessons.
