i went to the range today with my new irons. the ball slices no more!!!!!! my shots go straight as an arrow. since my clubs are blades, i really knew when i mishit it from the feedback of the club. i'm more confident with my irons. i thinned and hit it fat sometimes maybe 40%. my driver still needs some work. if i do a full swing, its a slice ball. but if i do sort of a stinger shot(3/4 swing) then the ball goes straight or sometimes straight with a fade. maybe 4/10 slice. my short game is really good because i practice at my house all the time. so i think if i just improve more with my irons and get decent with my driver i can hit the course with confidence.

Do you have fairway woods? How do you hit those?
I found that as I learned to hit the fairway woods straighter, longer and with more control, it translated to more control with the driver.
I actually worked on hitting the hybrids and 5W off of a tee before I started gettign confident hitting it off of the ground/rough. Just 3-4 months ago, the only thing I was hitting from the rough was the hybrid but now I can hit the 3 Wood, too.
i think when i do my full swing, im really over swinging. going beyond the slot that it should be pointing towards the target. but i figure if i can somehow get it CONSISTENTLY straight by doing the control swing, eventually my body will become use to it that i can slowly start swinging back a little more to get more power. i can get maybe 250-260 with my control swing when using my driver.

the range that i go to has yardage signs. but then again i might be adding an extra 10-15 its sort of hard to tell for sure.
thanks for the link, checked it out and i'm definitely gonna bookmark this
