Setting up an Anser Style putter

I have questions regarding setting up an Anser style putter.

I have the best feel when I address it with the toe up. I even see magazines and books with the 'models' addressing the putter with the toe up.

If I don't address it toe up, I have my hands slightly forward (about in line with the ball).

What is the proper way to set up an Anser style putter?

Re: Setting up an Anser Style putter

You'll get some different answers here, but for me, putting is wholly individualistic...just look at some of the funky styles out there...the trick is to roll the ball consistenly straight, ideally with your head even or slightly behind the ball placement, eyes over the target line (although some keep their eyes on the inside...again, individual choice)...at impact hands should lead and be slightly ahead of the ball for a smooth roll...everything else is pretty much up to you...get something that feels comfortable and balanced that you can repeat, then groove it...

like bump n run said it's totally on the individual. putting is a whole different game like jack nicklaus said, what works for you is the right way.

I am more consistent with my mallet. I am foregoing the Stan Utley way of putting and shelving the Cameron putter.
