PW-140 Yards (48 Degrees)
Gap Wedge-125-130 (52 Degrees)
Sand Wedge- 95 Yards (56 Degrees)
Lob Wedge-? I don't ever bother hitting the ball all the way with this club, I'd rather hit a pitch and run sand Wedge.
So anyways I'm getting a new Cleveland CG 14 wedge, and I was just gonna see if anyone had any advice on the loft of club I should think about looking at my wedge yardages.
Though call! Currently your GW isn't really filling the gap. I am tempted to recommend another 56*, and bending the GW a bit weaker, so that it is more centered between the PW and SW. But you know better than anyone what you need when you play. Which way are you leaning?
And wait for a few more replies! With your 95y SW shots you are playing a game with which I am not familiar!
Yea, for some reason I really can't get much distance out of my sandwedge compared to how far I hit my gapwedge, pitching wedge etc.
Regardless as of right now I'm leaning towards a 56 or 54 degree loft for the CG 14, frankly because I have no problem hitting my lob wedge around the greens, and different kind of shots with my lob wedge.
This is totally up to each individual, but I would dump the gw and sw, instead plug a 54 wedge with mid bounce, somewhere around 10*...but again, this is my preference and also dependent on the bunkers I normally encounter...if I played in fluffy bunkers, I'd need a bigger bounce....
I'd also take a look at why you hit the pw and gw a club longer than you do your 56...is it ball position? Is the ball position such because of the bounce on the 56? Are the clubs swingweighted the same or is the 56 heavier (as they tend to be off the rack)...is shaft length part of the equation as to why the 56 is disporportionately shorter? these are questions I'd answer before buying a new club...
