I have developed a bad habit. I've had it for a while, it just comes on and off. Right now, I tend to have the club come across my body, resulting in a hook. I know what I'm doing. I'm coming over the top and that's why it is happening. I can't help it though. I try to drop from the inside, but my swing is so flat, it still results in a hook. Watching Hank Haney and Charles Barkley, I believe has something to do with this. I hear "flatter flatter flatter" sometimes.... I need some help. It's getting really dumb. I walked 36 today to see if it got any better and the last 9 just got alot worse. I started popping up tee shots.
i don't know if this will help you, but i was having the same problem the other day. i was pulling and popping up every tee shot. finally on one of my tee shots i felt like i hit the ball a little towards the toe of my driver. i then watched my ball go straight and long down the fairway for the rest of the round, i always thought "hit it a little off the toe" during my tee shots and didn't pull or pop another one up.
when i do have mishits, pulls/hooks are what happens. i also believe its because my swing is very flat. when it happens to me, i just slow everything down and focus on a nice, smooth swing.
Been my experience that this usually happens as a result of swinging too hard. Just try throttling it back a little, keep the triceps connected to the lats, keep the hands out front and give everything time to get back around to square...in other words, just swing within yourself, you're overcookin' it a little.
...focus on getting your weight back in your backswing, bringing the front knee back as if it were connected to your left wrist with a strap...getting your body and knee behind the ball will keep the legs from outracing the arms and help you drop inside a little...
Impossible for this instructor to say without seeing you, but coming over the top usually results in a high pulled slice because your lead elbow leaves the body and you cannot release or turn the hands over in time.
The other thing it could be is you are loosing your spine tilt away from the target, and/or your trail shoulder is off plane and rising above the lead shoulder. In other words not square to the spine plane.. Is it possible you are reversing your spine tilt on the down swing?

I had excellent results today. I even started out with baby slice! It was perfect! I haven't seen a slice for a while. I concentrated on making my body keep going through the shot, like you said. It really helped a ton! I don't have really bad hooks anymore! Thanks!

Name a swing problem and I've probably suffered through it...glad to hear it worked out
