I lost my feel

So last last week I shot a -8 and now I shot a +12. My driver fades now (used to draw), i hit behind on my iron shots, and i can't stick the ball from 100 yards anymore. I also forgot my grip and my backswing feels like my arm is jelly.

Any way to get my consistancy back?
I tried to rethink of what I did before, but it won't hit me

Re: I lost my feel

You shot -8 and you're hitting the forums for advice?!?!??! C'mon dude...if you can play that well then you know what swing fundamentals are and your pecularities, you just need to go revisit them...Just revisit your fundamentals starting from wedges and work your way back up...grip, stance, alignment, takeaway, top position, downswing transfer/slot, impact position, finish position, balance...either that or take a break...

Trim the joystick just a little, or choose a different level of difficulty...you ARE talking about video golf, right? Putt-putt, maybe? Minus eight...

Re: I lost my feel

Assuming this is for real, anyone who can shoot 8 under should know their swing well enough to fix it within a few swings, or a range session. That's a pretty big swing, from 8 under to 12 over.

Forgot your grip? How?

Re: I lost my feel

The guy is a freshman in high school and nowhere near the best on his team...says here that his best score was 79 as of 5/27/09 and here he says he shot 85 @ Bethpage Blue, which can actually be confirmed here and here he claims to have proven Tiger wrong by shooting 82 at
Bethpage Black from the tips then here he claims to have shot -6 @ Pine Ridge despite being +5 after the first two holes and of course in this thread he claims a low of -8.

Remember that commercial where the guys are putting their shoes on in the parking lot and one of 'em says he's gonna break 80 today and one of the others turns to a guy getting out of the next car and asks "Can this guy break 80?" and the guy looks, pauses and replies, "No." and walks away.

Here's his Facebook photo

You tell me...can this guy shoot minus anything?

Re: I lost my feel

Are you calling him out or something, Shade? Perhaps a quote is necessary here: "Don't judge a book by its cover". Now unless he's flat out contradicting himself, which I didn't see in his posts, I see no reason for these put downs from various people. Totally uncool.

Re: I lost my feel

Perhaps you could reboot the Wii console and rediscover that feel, grip, and draw.

I'm confused. Was that Bethpage Blue or Black?

Cheers, Bob

So, you buy his claims? How many freshmen do YOU know who post those kinds of numbers and then complain because they can't break 80 any more? Let me back up...how many freshmen do you know that have EVER posted a score that far under par? How many people PERIOD have you ever witnessed shoot a score like that? I find his claims highly contradictory...he can post whatever he wants, doesn't mean I'm buyin' it. Maybe I'll call his coach or athletic director up to see just how credible his claims are.

shade this is ridiculous. Who cares if this kid is lying and you go too far and bother looking at his facebook photo. Must have nothing to do? You give good golf advice but this is stupid.

I do. Look, posting a bogus opinion here is one thing...posting outrageous claims and outright lies is something else altogether. As curator of this forum, I consider it one of my duties to keep litter to a minimum so legitimate members can come to a clean venue to discuss golf. I personally view outrageous claims like his just as bad as common spam...I have to check out lots of posts to verify whether they are legitimate or spam advertising...I see this as no different. The regular legitimate members here, yourself and young Richard included, deserve to not have to sift through that kind of trash. Ultimately, I am a member, too, and I don't appreciate someone trying to make a mockery of GR...anyone making those sorts of claims is going to get "called out" eventually and, as a member, I'm just as entitled to do so as the next guy.

Click on JonLee's username...go to JonLee's homepage. What do you see, amigo? I'm not posting anything that he hasn't made public in the first place. Before he had his Facebook page as his homepage he linked us to his school golf page...I'm not sleuthing him, I'm just using the information that he's giving all of us to expose him for who he is.

I just wonder if the fellers that are offended by my treatment of him might have embellished their own accomplishments at some point, hence the resentment?

The only statement in this 'case' that might hold up in court was the confirmation that JL indeed shot 85 @ Bethpage Blue. I agree that the rest of it reads like a story unlikely to be true, but you haven't yet proven any of his claims to be false.

And he hasn't provided one iota of corroboration, no witnesses, no scorecards...this isn't court, it's a golf discussion forum...you make outrageous claims like he has and you're likely to get slammed. Don't wanna get slammed?...either provide some proof or at least something to back up your claims or don't make them in the first place. How many freshmen in high school do YOU know that can post a number anywhere near what he claims? How many times have you personally witnessed ANYONE posting the numbers he claims to have posted?

While I don't personally feel that he needs to go out of his way to produce all sorts of evidence, it will be interesting to see what he has to say for himself when he comes back here (, if he is up to it! ).
