I get good distance from my irons (Callaway x-14).
Ex: 3 iron 230
5 iron 200
9 iron 150
But my driver averages 255 (Nike - 10.5 degree - average to low trajectory)
This doesn't seem right to me though it's been this way with every driver. Given the iron distances shouldn't I be around 275 or more? Or do these numbers sound right?
I would think so. Have you been fitted for your clubs lately? I think you might just need a shaft change in your woods, and possibly a loft change in your driver..What are your shaft specs for the woods that you are currently using?

You driver shaft may have a high kick point which means lower trajectory. Loft is a factor as well, possibly your choice of ball, also.
This happened to me as well...........my distances are very close to yours, but my Driver distance suffered. A couple of things straightened this out somewhat:
* Lessons - I had an "over-the-top" move that killed my distance andproduced odd shots. The better I keep my club on the proper swingplane, my driver distance increases dramatically.
* Shaft/Loft - I increased the loft on my Driver (to 9.5*), and changed shafts to a (heavens forbid!) R-FLEX! For whatever reason, the local launch monitor facility placed me in an Rflex, but it seems to be working. Although.............I demoed a Cleveland launcher 400 (my current driver) with an Aldila NV S-flex shaft, and it was performing wonderfully.
It's probably not far enough if you hit your 3 iron 230!! That's what a longer player on the PGA Tour would hit theirs, meaning the driver distance would be in the 290-300 range.
I too tend to hit my driver short compared to my irons. Quite why is as yet unknown but my best guess is inadequate weight transferal. Actually I hit my irons just as far as most on here claim but my driver typically goes only as far as most peoples fairway woods....
One thing I found out during yesterday's round was that I was holding on through the hitting area with my driver, while I fully release my irons.
Bates: The stiffer flex may be needed. I noticed the shaft was very whippy when I started releasing the club head. While there's nothing wrong with hitting it 255, I think it proves there's something wrong with my swing or equipment with that differential.
LiguidChill: 3 wood is about the same as the driver, but I hit it rarely. Most of the guys I golf with have similar yardages as you and that's what got me thinking.
