Who the heck cares about 300 yard drives, im a single digit handicap and I hit 300 yard drives alot BUT the group I play with is single digits as well. One fella I play with hits it about 260 on average and beats me consistantly. Wanna know how ? From 120 yards and in he is deadly... deadly, if he hits outside of 20 feet its a horrible shot. Look leave the rang, dont buy that new $500 dollar driver, grab your wedge and go to the chipping green.

Who cares about 300 yard drives, if at 120 yards in you cant hit a barn, just my peace.

I'm about as athletic as a brick and can hit over 300 yards, but everytime i have hit 300 yards its never been any benefit as its either gone over the green or some where were i would of been doing a 100 yard driver ;)

I read a stat in a golf magazine that said only 1% of golfers can hit it 300 yards.....not counting downhill lies, gail force winds, altitude, etc. Here in Colorado, a lot of people hit it that far, but when I go to sea level I have to hit it really flush to do it.

+1 on forgetting the $500 driver and working on your wedges. Why do I hit half the bucket with the driver? I don't know....

there are only a handful of holes on my course that a 300 yard drive would benefit me...most would travel out of fairway, now a 300 yard drive with a strong draw or fade..that is a dream
