Drills

Hello fellow fanatics,

What drills have you used to improve ball striking? What drills have produced the best results for creating muscle memory? What drills do you favor both on and off the range?
Thanks for the input.

only drill currently is swinging the momentus 7-I swing trainer, it helps me get the club on plane and into the correct position at the top. other than that, just trying to ingrain what the teaching pro has told me to do in my swing and i guess that's only by practice and repetition.

but be sure to stretch.

One of THE best drills of all time is hitting full shots with your 7 or 8 iron with your feet together and ball in the center of your "stance." Talk about building all the right moves...

I always listen to the golf professionals when it comes to a good drill. I seem to recollect somewhere that J.C. once said that the best drill is a 18v Makita drill (with a brad point bit, and possibly twin speed with reverse and hammer action, I believe)...although J.C may like to confirm this...

actually he said it was a dewalt and to make sure you get that with the combo pack so you get the most for your dollar.

I use the Lever Power Golf wrist trainer, mat and sponges. It is even better than the Inside Approach.

"Hear Me Now - Believe me Later" - the best thing to improve ballstriking is to hit full shots (with a -6 or -7 iron) in a SAND BUNKER. This is GUARANTEED to make you hit the little ball before the big ball.
