pretty good lookig swing, but i'll leave the recommendations to the pro's. i can see that we both do a few things the same, but i'm trying to correct them now.

looks like a repeatable swing, lol. on the media player, nice.

I'm not an instructor but the first thing that jumps out at me is that you are way past parallel at the top (ala John Daly) and the club head is pointing way right of your target line. Are the majority of you misses to the right?

Most of my misses are to the right definitely. I'm overcocking my wrists I think.

your takeaway brings the club back inside quickly. i do the same thing and then if makes the club cross the target line at the top. anyway, the pro's these days want you to keep the club in front of you going more straight back when you start your swing, but like i said, i defer to the teaching pro's. if you go straight back, you will get more extension and thus more power too i believe.

The inside takeaway has always been an issue for me. I used to push a lot of my shots. And I could definitely use more power in my game.

i think a good teaching pro can get you straightened out in that area, it will be worth the time and money to do it. good luck

In your takeaway try to come straight back on the target line for as long as possible, just make sure you keep your upper left arm attached to your chest so you dont get too vertical.

Also, when the shaft of you club is parallel with the ground right after the takeaway, the butt end should be pointing at the target with the shaft parallel with the target line. Practice this move everyday to get that feeling grooved into your swing. Your swing will be looking good in no time.

Overall, especially for a noobi, it looks pretty good.
First thing is ball position.
with driver you have it in the middle of your stance. You need to extend out at the ball and give the clubface time to square up so you need that at lest 3 inches forward of center, just inside of left heal.
second thing I woudl work on would be to swing back with shoulders and not arms. by using so much arms you go back too far. Try using your shoulders and keep the club in front of your chest. try doing this pre set drill

1. address the ball like normal
2. now without moving hands or arms back cock the wrists untill club is parralel to the ground and also parallel to your feet/target line. Your front hand and back hand should split the ball. meaning, when you are in this positions your lead hand should be ahead of the ball while back hand would be behind the ball.
3. make sure you pause for at least 3 seconds in this position while checking if club is parralel to the ground, target line, feet, and toe is pointing STRAIGHT UP OR A LITTLE CLOSED, not laying open
4. make your backswing with ALL SHOULDERS and proceed to hit the ball.
very easy drill and I have had very good results! I gained 20+yards in my drive

third, i would make sure that my swing does not come over the top. Using that video I could not go frame by frame to disect better. not sure why I could not do that.
next time you practice put down a club head cover six inches in front and two inches to the inside of the ball. If you come over the top you will hit the clubhead cover. If you dont you should miss it.

noobie, After looking at your swing, I would say that most of your problems start at address. You are way too close to the ball and your right hand is too far to the left. At impact you have too much hip turn and are too far up on your right toe. Your arms are collapsed in to your body with out a good release. Your takeaway is funny because of your grip, it has that rolling to the right and your left wrist breaks down at the top. What to do: turn your right hand to the right until your "vee" points to your right shoulder, back away from the ball until your right forearm and shaft are in a straight line from down the line angle, and get your balance even between toes and heels, try to be square to the ball at impact not up on your toe and raising up like you have been. Notice the angle of your arms and shaft at address(down the line) and how there is no angle at impact between the arms and shaft. The straight line you have at impact is correct. The problem you have is that your bad set up doesn't match your good swing. Set up correctly, and stay down with shot and work on a better release.
