Fade / Draw

Before I go searching through this thing called the Internet, I thought I would ask if anyone has any good tips or links to sites on how to learn how to fade or draw the ball.

Thanks

For the right handed golfer:

Fade - aim your body a little left of the target, open clubface and swing parallel to your foot line.

Draw - aim your body a little right of the target, close the club head and swing parallel to your footline.

This is as simple as it gets,
Good Luck

Is ball position a big factor when attempting to fade/slice.

I personally draw/fade the ball the conventional way. But read through the new Golf Digest and they show how to draw/fade by simply closing and opening the club. I haven't tried it yet but it looks a lot simpler.

If your way of making a draw is to release early, strengthen the grip, suppernate and pronate and or roll the wrist and or forearms, Ya it can be much easier.

If your way of fading is to release later, holding the wrist cock longer, weaken the grip, lag the club, Ya it can be easier.

I am only saying this because I had it down the "conventional way" but learning the easier way helped me understand the swing and the spin of the ball in a way that I finally put it all together and I never looked back.

Like Doctor Phil says "look for three defining moments in your life" and this was the big #1 for me when it comes to the golf swing.

How do you slice and hook the ball? do you just close and open the clubface more?

Yes and make sure to match the aim so the ball works into the target.
