Golf Swing Simulator

Anybody check out the http://www.p3proswing.com/index.php http://www.p3proswing.com/index.php
It gives you:
Swing path angle measured within 1°
Club face angle measured within 1°
Club head speed measured within 1 MPH
Angle of attack measured within 0.1 inch

It looks like it could be a great tool, simulator, and even a game you could play on those wintry nights...

I've read some reviews on this thing. The major drawback is that you have to tape the bottom of your clubs w/ reflective tape so that their optics can track your swing. Also, the ball flight info is a rough approximation since it's based on your swing not ball physics. In fact you can practice on these things w/o a ball.

Thanks for the good info. I am also concerned about hitting off a rubber mat & how realistic that feels.

Spoke with 3 teaching pros who swear by this product and also use this particular machine to teach with inside their shops. They all said... "Reflective tape on the bottom of the club is not needed if your irons are kept in good shape and are clean. Reflective tape if used can easily last you over 150 shots per one piece of tape." Reflective tape is cheap and hardly a drawback for the type of analysis you recieve.

Are you looking into purchasing one of these machines, or just doing some research on it?

this is my first post to this site...I was actually just considering purchasing this product and decided to see if anyone had a review of it. That's how I found this site. I asked an oldtimer at the golf shop about it today and he said that any swing analyzer that cost less than $5K was a waste of money. I think he is a little out of touch with technology but I still was hoping someone had used it. I'm really thinking about it as a training aid, not just a fun game to play. Anyone have experience with it?

thanks,

mark

Well welcome to the site, I am relatively new hear as well. You'll find that the majority of people here geniunely helpful. Well anyways, I actually just purchased one and am waiting for the order to arrive. As I mentioned above, I have spoke to 3 teaching pros who use this device to teach others with and use for themselves especially during the winter months. They were not just trying to give me a sales pitch on the item, because I told them I already purchased one. In the end, they all kept on talking about it and how accurate and helpful it is. Your probably right about the "old timer" comment. Really how many older people do you know that work with technology or computers on a daily basis. Heck my dad barely knows how to log on to the internet. If you have any other questions or would like to talk about getting the best price for the system let me know...I got a good deal on one, but you might have to hurry the deal deadline is coming to an end.
