For the average golfer I would guess in the 100 area. Somewhere between 90-115. Depending on build, tempo, and swing speed those numbers could vary greatly though.

They however long you hit it...there is no set distance. I normally try to hit my 56 with 100-110 yard shots. If I take a good cut at it I can hit my sand wedge around 125, but with a sand wedge its not meant to be swung that hard, its an accuracy club. So I can take nice 3/4 swing and hit it around 100 yards and hopefully have more accuracy then a full swing.

I have the same problem. I hit my wedges obsenely high and around 80-90 yards on a full swing which leaves me with a 15-20 yard gap between that and my gap wedge. I cant seem to get the same trajectory as the rest of my irons.

Put the ball back a little in your stance and open up - you'll hit it a little further and flatter witht the same tempoed swing.

He already said he plays it back in his stance, anymore back and he'll end up blading it.

I swing mine about 50-60% and hit it about 90-100 yards.

If your hitting them accurate then theres no problem..put in a GW to fill the PW-SW slot..I use my GW aka AW (attack wedge) more than my PW and SW..its a solid club

I can hit my 56 100-105 with a full hard swing, but I don't. I use mine from around 90 yards or so with a nice smooth swing. I use an easy 50 for 110-115.
