Well I'm sure this will vary a little depending on the person who replies, but here goes my $.02

1) I start by turning my shoulders counter-clockwise.
2) When the club gets to the point where it is parallel to thhe ground I cock the wrists. I make sure to keep my left arm straight. This causes a wide swingplane and helps with power. It helps to think of a V from your hands on the club, up your arms to where they connect with your chest.
3) After I begin to cock the wrists I continue turning my shoulders until my left shoulder is under my left chin.
4) Then I begin the downswing.

With the arms. When the club is paralel to the ground your body should be still and in the same place as it was at address. Once your reach this point you can start to get your shoulders involved. One thing that helped me is this: (Lets hope I can explain this so you'll understand)

This is an explanation for a right hander. Stand with a mirror at your right side. So basically your right shoulder should be pointing toward the mirror. Swing the club back to waist high or to where it is paralell to the ground. Turn your head so you can see in the mirror. The clubhead should be pointing toward the sky or even in a slightly closed position. At this point if all is well with the clubhead, you should now look at the clubhead and it should be directly inline with your hands, not inside, not outside. If you can get the club going straight back and see that it is directly inline with yoru hands at the waist high point then you're swing plane is right on track and it makes it much easier for the rest of the swing to fall into place.

Let me know if this is confusing...I'll find a pic to post.
