Pulling out on drives- any help

My game off the tee is going south. My irons and putter are keeping me scoring but the tee box is killing me. My brother noticed I seem to be straightening up and pulling away as the club descends, making contact off the lower club face and either hitting an awful top or a low slice. This is recent so I am confused. With my irons I stay down and through, 3 wood off turf, down and through but for some reason mentally I suddenly cannot hit a ball off a tee.
any help would be great, I will be signing up for either a lesson or a therapist soon as well.

dante,

You may be turning your hips through ahead of your arms and shoulders.

Try this: just before you start your downswing, gently shift all your weight to the front foot (left foot for right handers). Then, turn your shoulders, arms and hips all as one unit.

If you are using one of the larger headed drivers it requires a tall tee. This makes you swing too much on the up swing, different from the down and through required by the other clubs:

Try a smaller headed driver or a shallow faced driver and tee it lower, this type of driver will not require as much of a upward swing at impact and be better for your game.

Since it is sudden, I suspect you are too close too the ball and are having to raise up to hit it and over doing it. Always remember to grip the club first, set the club head down to the ball second and then set the feet last for balance, alignment and ball position.

Thanks- could be part of the issue. Feels like I am slashing at the ball. It is so off the wall for me, the driver has always been steady.
