I've got an 18 degree with the stock gold Aldila shaft. It is long....sometimes too long.
Thanks. I have seen the same results as you. I don't seem to have the same distance control I had over my previous hybrid (Hogan CFT). This could be a problem as I get used to the club.
So far, I have not hit a draw with this club. It's probably my swing, but I could draw the Hogan at times.
I used a 20 degree Fusion FT all season. I will look for another hybrid next year. This is the firs season to us a hybrid. This club is okay, but I had major control problems with it overall. I bought a hybrid to have an easier club to hit the same distance as a long iron, so it didn't fill the need very well.
I hit some great shots with it that wouldn't have happened with a 3 iron, but I think that I will find another hybrid that is better suited for what I wanted. I will go with a lower loft next season, too.
This club is awesome, I have the 2 iron hybrid. I usually hit a fade, so the draw model turned it into a PERFECTLY straight ball right down the middle of the fairway. I hit a 210 yd drive with it yesterday with it, and considering I hit my driver 230 yds, this club is LONG. Greay buy. BTW I have the stiff Aldila shaft.
I also find the FT Hybrid difficult to control the distance. It does hit the ball long, but I wanted to be more versatile with distances. I will be going back to my Hogan Hybrid. It does not hit the ball as far, but is far more workable.
Well, me being a junior, I don't try to shape the ball very often....I'm just now having confidence in producing a draw or fade when needed with my irons. BTW, the last course I played, I had no need to shape the hybrid. My FT-3 draws on its own anyways....
