I have just gotten a cheap King Cobra Baffler 20* hybrid for 30.00 and it has got to be one of the best dealers I have ever gotten before. They are light which I like and feel like a hot knife through butter. What do you guys think?
I need one or two hybrids in my bag too,
is it a secret that where you bought it from???
I am using driver and iron from Cobra, they make great great clubs...
I got one after christmas this year and I love it. Leftys right about the hot knife through butter. Every Cobra club I've hit seems to be like that, Cobra's a great company.
Finally, got to hit my Baffler DWS. It's 20* with aldila NV stiff shaft. This club is amazing. So easy to hit off the ground or off the tee. Most of my shots went straight and around 220. Bought it off ebay from 3ballsgolf for $55. Clubs was better than described. I think a 4 on his rating scale.
As I have mentioned in another post, I cannot say enough good things about my bafflers -- 20,23,26. I originally had them in a regular shaft but sold those to my buddies and bought new DSWs with senior flex (lite). Made all the difference in the world. They are effortless and no, I'm not experiencing directional problems.
Ditto on the forgiveness. I'm a die-hard Ping and Mizuno fan but the Cobra Baffler DWS is so forgiving and clean on contact. Loud perfect sound. Feels so smooth off the face. I'm thinking about adding one or 2 in my bag.
I had a Baffler in '06. I really liked it but the Nippon steel shaft in it gave me a very high ball flight that made me abandon it and go back to my 2-iron.
I think they are great clubs for the mid-swing speed player. The trajectory is definately higher than a comparably lofted iron and the forgiveness is better. The new Baffler Pro would probably suit me better. For now, I'll stick to the 2-iron.
