Looking forward to posting here...

I'm a certified golf-a-holic for sure...loved the game since way back when...member of Golf Opinions and FGI, former member of the GEA. Looking forward to getting to know you folks, I'm sure there's some cross-over like I'm doing right now and I'll know some of your handles.

Welcome golf-a-holic...great name btw. You're amongst the most friendly and knowledgeable golf addicts I've personally ever come across on the net, so enjoy the site. I look forward to reading your input.

Welcome. I used to visit FGI awhile back. I think you will like it here better than any site before. Good to have you here.

Hi golf-a-holic! This really is a great forum. I haven't had anything but enjoyment in my visits here. Heck, I just finished playing Asteroids here (lost my last few ships very quickly ).

I had no idea of the history of golf forums. Hopefully, my new site will be mentioned in a post like that some day.

Check out the gallery and arcade also. Enjoy.

Welcome golf-a-holic this place is far from the other site's like Golf Opinions and FGI. This site has no flame outs here which is great! You will love this place! Welcome

Folks,

Thanks very much for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to contributing to the forum as much as I can. What I couldn't figure out about an unmentioned forum is that we're all in this together, right? G-O-L-F and the love of the game, etc.

I'd see guys practically get into serious "hate" conversations about topics other than golf....really makes you wonder why it's even there.

I don't like to stir anything up, my life is hectic enough with 3 little ones 7 and under, I don't think getting angry at another forum member over whatever is healthy. Trolls and trouble-makers are what they are.

Looks like I've joined the right place.

You're just the type of guy that'll fit right in here. I never have understood the antagonists that pervade golf forums. We've had our share of them here but they don't last long. GR's language and content rules scares them off fairly quickly. When they can't use even the smallest of swear words, can't deride other members for having a different opinion than theirs, and don't find any other of their kind here, they usually self destruct and get "removed" from the site.

Often, these "removed" trouble makers go on other sites and accuse us of being fanatics, or storm troopers, or worse. They just don't understand that the only way to keep things friendly, civil, and family friendly is to enforce the strict guidelines created by GR's founder. No trolls, no profanity, and no flame wars is what sets GR apart from the ever growing number of golf sites.

We're glad to have you with us and I look forward to reading your contributions.
