Hello From Sunny Las Vegas!

Hello,
I just started playing golf about a month ago and now I'm hooked, so I thought I should chat with some people who love the game too. I need a little help though. I was wondering what are a good starter set of clubs. I'm a poor collage student so I don't have a whole lot of money. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hello and welcome to Golf Rewind, hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Well here's one idea on a starter set Adams GT2 irons, you can pick up a set from www.tgw.com for about $200.00 and you can look around a pick-up a Adams Tight Lies 16º
which will work quite well as a driver and 3 wood until you get comfortable playing. Hope this helps out a bit again welcome and jump in and post any questions you might have, also check out our equipment for sale section.

Hi Silent night and welcome

I also started playing fairly recently. You can buy a complete set for as little as $160 -$250 assuming you are a high handicapper like myself. These sets will help you during the learning process without putting you out of pocket. Alternatively you can buy second hand.
If you are going to buy new I would recommend the Golden Bear 460 Tour set my brother in law bought for $260. It included a 460cc driver ,3W,5W,7W, two hybrids 6-9I, PW, SW a putter and a stand bag

Welcome to Golf Rewind, silentnight! I started off as a poor college student and I just went to Sports Authority and picked up one of those starter sets for about $150. It got me to the point where I could break 100 regularly and then I went ahead and bought "better" clubs. Anyway, keep us posted on your progress!
