Wasup guys....my name is Scott....I reside in Columbia, SC while I am going to school but I am origionally from North Augusta, SC
I have been golfing since i was about 7...I am 21 now......For say the past 5 years i have played only about 3 or 4 times a year.....and now i am ready to get back into it...need a new hobby....before now for the past 6 or 7 years my big hobby was Car Audio and i was a member of many car audio forums.....since i want to get away of car audio i want to pick up a new hobby so Golf is going to take the place of Car audio so i figured i should find a forum to talk golf and here i am
My golf game isn't that bad. I did play on the golf team my senior year in High School...averaged about a 43 or 44 per 9...and since then i haven't played much.....i hit the ball pretty solid it is just like most golfers who don't play much i battle the dreaded slice.....i fade everything from my driver all the way down to my gap wedge.....I have pretty much figured out i have the old outside-in swing and i went on www.thegolfchannel.com and went to the instruction section and found some drill i can do to help my slice.....Right now i average about 90 per 18 and i think if i can get my fade/cut/slice under control i could hit alot more greens and be down to about high 70's or now 80's.....my short game is decent and my putting is pretty good so i like to think so i think upper 70's isn't out of reach with enough practice.
Is there any other golf forums out there?....right now i look at this one and the one on the golf channels website
Well i am just glad to be here and will try to contribute to the forum in any way i can.

Welcome, this is one of the nicest boards you'll find...each board I belong to has it's own little character...belong to GolfOpinions and FreeGolfInfo (FGI), have met some nice folks on each of those ones...
I've only been here since May and you can see by my post count this is catching one nicely...not to mention my work place is slow at times...LOL
Welcome aboard! There's a few of us South Carolinians here...But, just because I live in SC doesn't mean I'm a Gamecock or a Tiger...Enjoy the best golf forum on the net!
Welcome MrMorgonUSC to golfrewind, how 'bout them USC Aiken golfers? That's one awesome team! What club do you play at?
That was great what the USCA golf team did....i use to play in Augusta Area Junior Golf Association events around the CSRA and they were headed up by Mike Carlisle (USCA golf coach)....I also played against Dane Burkhart (South Aiken HS) and Casey Thompson (North Augusta HS) when i played on my high school golf team my senior year of High school.

Whoa, that's a little below the belt, but regardless, good luck this season. BTW, how's Mr. Spurrier fitting in up in Cola? I'll actually get to see ya play this September when the Tide comes to town...

Yea it was below the belt with the bear being dead and all
But when you have over 150 people on scholarship and do stuff like fly airplanes over recruits houses and drop money on their property to get them to come....yea....chaeating....but hey...it got him thos National Titles
Spurrier is great...alot better than holtz....Everyone was happy when holtz left....he was losing his mind.....good luck to Bama this year also except when they come to Columbia
Welcome aboard Scott. I recently just joined myself. This board looks like a winner.
I'm a BIG Gamecock fan myself(Wofford Alumn)....been going to games for over 30 years now.
Hopefully Spurrier can turn it around in to a consistant winner.
Unlike Lou, Steve looks like he's been laying down the law with an iron fist concerning all the guys kicked off. Marquee guys at that.
What's the inside scoop on Cory Boyd? (I've heard he either cut some classes, or work outs, or either failed one drug test.) Do you think he'll be back or will some water boys be looked upon to provide some depth this year?
ABout Cory Boyd.....i am not really sure.....i was talking to Ricardo Hurley yesturday while we were sitting in the sauna(SP?) and i asked him what happened to Cory....he said he failed a drug test....i asked him if he was going to be able to come back.....he said he doesn't know but he thinks so.....Ricardo seems to know the inside scoop more than me.....i am just a snapper and hang around the kickers
But whatever it is i think e will be back because it isn't in the news that big....i think they are trying to keep it on the down low so we can get him back....we really need him.....and he needs to getnhis head on strait.
Thanks Scott. As you can imagine the USC message boards have been going nuts trying to figure out the real reason. I'll keep it quiet.
Can I assume this is a first time offense for Boyd?
Reason I ask, my understanding is after the first failed drug test..the next one is an automatic dismissal. Thus, maybe that's why Coach Spurrier said he'll wait until 8/1 to make a decision.
Ricardo said it was his second....but......it might not be about drugs....some people say it is drugs and some say it is grades.....so we will have to see come 8/1
